Not a single word on special status like his rally in 2014.

But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again assured to find a solution to restart mining on the lines of what Goa is demanding. He has also assured Fisherman Card with all facilities.

And many express railways including a double-decker. Modi began his 45-minute long speech of election campaign by paying tributes to his former cabinet colleague and Goa’s former chief minister Manohar Parrikar.

While also recalling how Parrikar had proposed his name as a prime minister in Goa, Modi came down heavily on Congress President Rahul Gandhi who told lies to the people under the pretext of paying courtesy visit to former ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Before entering the Shyama Prasad Mukherjeet Stadium, Modi also visited the equally large crowd who could not enter the stadium due to space constraints. Besides assuring more special trains for Goa, the PM also spelt out his plans for the fisherfolk community of India, and especially Goa.

Modi did not skip the issue of mining. But also did not give any concrete assurance. He said he would do what Goa wants. But did not say what it is.
