"We will die without mining. How will our children live?"

The time is up for the mine leaseholder. On March 16th all the 88 mine leases will be invalid.

The politicians are not leaving any stone unturned to ensure mining continues.

But currently, mining faces massive uncertainty post-March 16th.

Goa365 does a reality check from Bicholim and Usgao.

The mining dependents want the government both at the Centre and the state to take the responsibility to ensure that the mining activities run partially in the state.

Under pressure, the Union Minister and Goa BJP in-charge Nitin Gadkari will be in Goa on March 20th.

He will hold meetings with mining dependents, MLAs at Secretariat at 11 a.m. What does the future holds, remain to be seen.
