Mining dependents have become aggressive.

They marched to the residence of PWD minister Sudin Dhavalikar and compelled him to seek Prime Minister’s appointment by 16th January.

They also want government to sell the confiscated ore of miners and continue salary of workers till mining restarts.

Over 300 members of Goa Mining People’s Front marched to Sudin Dhavalikar’s residence on Monday morning.

To protect him, around 600 policemen were brought in vans and deployed. But Sudin came out and discussed with all of them on the issue.

He also assured to seek appointment of PM Narendra Modi by 16th January.

GMPF leader Puti Gaonkar has warned Sudin that they would come back on 17th January if they don’t meet the PM.

With the same demands, they are also meeting the BJP MPs on 10th of January.

And now they have come up with a new proposal.

Sell around 10 lakh metric tonnes of ore confiscated from miners and continue paying salaries to mining workers.
