According to Goa Foundation Director Dr Claude Alvares, Goa government has still not taken a firm decision to restart mining.

While one hand it talks about setting up a mining corporation, it also claims to have filed review petition to retain the old leases.

In reality, nothing is moving at administration level to restart mining.
