The Congress has wholeheartedly supported the ongoing struggle of mining dependents and has appealed to them to hold a dharna in Delhi when the Lok Sabha session begins.

They have also assured the mining dependents to fix an appointment with Rahul Gandhi to find a viable solution.

Mining dependents led by trade unionist Puti Gaonkar are sitting on a Dharna in Sankhli.

On Friday, Congress observer Dr Chellakumar, GPCC President Girish Chodankar, former chief minister Digambar Kamat and former union minister Ramakant Khalap visited them to support their struggle.
