Mining could restart in Goa as soon as within 3 months. Haresh Melwani of Nathuramal Mining company says that he will be able to get environment clearances and other permissions from the local government for his Sankhli mine by the end of monsoon.

He also says that government could start 18 mines in total as per chief ministers statement.

The mining union spoke on the issue on Saturday. The government has given permission to one mine to restart mining in the state.

Melwani speaks to Goa 365 on a variety of topics including that he does not need to export the ore, but has enough clients in India itself.
