Goa Barge owners association has extended support to all Goa bandh against Mining ban on March 19th by blocking Mandovi river channel with barges.

The bandh called by All Goa Truck association and other mining dependents aims to build pressure on the govt a day before Gadkari's visit.

The TCP minister Vijai Sardessai who is also part of Cabinet Advisory Committee in absence of CM Parrikar wants the Centre to solve the problem.

Goa Barge owners threaten to block the Mandovi to highlight the plight of people dependent on the mining industry.

They want the Governments at state and the Centre to make efforts to start the mining business again.
