The livelihood of mining stakeholders are under threat due to mining closure. Now both opposition and ruling have targeted the BJP.

They say that BJP government is both at centre and State.

The issue gets intresting as a centre has been told that MMDR amendment is not possible but stakeholders have to file review petitions.

Aam Admi Party president Elvis Gomes said Goan leaders are fooling mining dependents by giving empty and fake assurances.

He also questioned why mining dependents are protesting at Delhi when there is BJP led government in State and also at the Centre.

Minister for Art and Culture Govind Gawade admitted that mining issue is kept hanging when there is BJP government at both the State and Center. He has now thrown ball in the Parrikar’s court.

He says that there is a delay in follow up in mining due to illness of Chief Minister. And strongly admits that restart of mines is difficult.

Deputy speaker and Calangute MLA, Micheal lobo says that Parrikar as Chief Minister should tell people whether Center will implement MMDR act or would go with auction.

He was speaking to the media after he  meet Parrikar on Monday evening.

It may be recalled that coalition partner Vijay Sardessai had thrown ball on the mining issue in the court of Parrikar.

He had taken a stand that if BJP wants to win election than they should solve mining issue.
