MMC decides to hike trade licence fees by 10% slab basis

Mormugao Municipal Council had a special Council meeting on Tuesday when it was decided to hike trade licence fees by ten per cent and also take up pre monsoon works.



After the meeeting Gaonkar said that a decision to take up two open trucks were taken. Gaonkar said trade license and signboard charges would be hiked slab wise. MMC Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes said that the centenary celebrations would begin on 10th February and both Panchayat and Urban Development Minister would be chief guests and both MLA s would be guest if honour. Gaonkar also the council had decide to rebuild and maintain the existing garden in the city. He said that the JSW would take up works on the railway garden beautification and that MMC had directed to remove handcarts next to the garden. He also requested the Vasco police not to allow any vehicle parking next to the garden and not allow any social elements to loiter near the garden.
