MMC approves citizen CZMP

The fight between locals verses local bodies and authorities on CZMP is hot. But there seems to be some progress as the Mormugao municipal council on Friday approved the citizens Costal Zone Management Plan prepared by concerned citizens of the Vasco.

 The Mormugao Council chairperson Nandadeep Raut said that they had received instructions from the state government asking it to finalize Mormugao CZMP on priority. So on Friday the council held an emergency meeting  and discussed the CZMP issue. The CZMP plan prepared by the citizens was presented for the meeting and later the same was approved by the council.
