Lotlikars opposed the draft coastal zone management plan at the gram sabha held on Friday. People say port limits are shown along rivers but there is no port limit where shipyards exist.
Lotlikars want the government to denationalise Goan rivers. They also want the public hearing on CZMP cancelled.
The special gram sabha held in Loutolim to discuss the coastal zone management plan. People pointed out many errors in the draft CZMP. The main point the locals objected to was the inclusion of port limits. People say there is no clarity over which port, whether it is Mormugao or Panaji. They say they had finalised CZMP.
