First it was the road digging. Now it is the garbage collection.

The fight in the Corporations seems to be getting dirtier and dirtier in both the literal as well as the actual sense.

The latest bone of contention – the order by the commissioner to stop garbage collection from 44 buildings and hotels.

As the election date to the Panaji bye elections draws closer, not only the elections campaign is heating up, but the proxy fight in the CCP too seems to be also heating up.

A couple of days ago it was the clash over the stoppage of smart city inspired digging of roads to lay cables.

There to the commissioner had stopped CCP workers from carrying out pre monsoon work in ruling panel councillors wards. Now it is garbage collection.

The Mayor alleged that instead of the government spending on television cameras, it should complete the Bainguinim garbage treatment plant.
