Babush panel files nominations

The elections are slated for April 28. The panel was accompanied by the Taleigao MLA Jennifer Monserrate and Atanasio Babush Monserrate the former St Cruz MLA and present candidate for the Panaji by polls.

The Taleigao panchayat has 11 members. During the last elections, the Babush backed panel had won 10 out of 11 wards. The term before that, it was a complete sweep.

Babush told reporters after the candidates had filed their nominations that their main priority was a sewage treatment plant. He also said that a market would come up in the village before the end of the next term.
