TTAG Petition: Court directs govt to start implementing taxi meters

The Travel and Tourism Association fo Goa has filed a contempt petition against the non implementation of taxi meters in the High Court. The Court has asked the governemtn to start implementing the taxi meters and give a progress report on the issue by ht enext hearing – 14 June

The Taxi meters issue has been hanging fire for some time. The actions of some of the taxi operators in the state has really hit the tourism industry already reeling under the pandemic. The TTAG had already gone to court on the issue and the government had promised to implement the meters. Now Nilesh Shah, president of TTAG spoke to us on the issue.
