Tense moments at Vasco temple; devotees upset

Police managed to keep the incident under control. Police say that the reasons behind this act is still unknown. The devotees later filed a complaint with police and Mormugao Municipal Council. They sought to know who had fenced the temple and why. Sensing tension Vasco police led by PSI Ritesh Tari also reached the venue. By then locals cut a through the barbed wire, entered the temple and conducted the Pooja. MMC Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes said no permission was applied for the fencing of the temple and inspection would be carried out.
