Sancoale gram sabha too rejects CZMP for omitting house of locals, fishing bay

The Sancoale Gram sabha on Saturday unanimously resolved to reject the Draft Coastal Zone Management Plan for the Village. The members say the plan does not show houses of the locals and also the fishing bay.

The Gram sabha members alleged that the plan which was earlier prepared by the  Sancoale Biodiversity Management Committee is not reflected in the fresh draft CZMP. Hence the plan prepared by the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management was  unanimously rejected.
