Netravali neither has proper mobile coverage nor power supply

As classrooms are shut, the government encourages online teaching. But a few can avail of this facility as not everyone is able to make use of it.

There are areas in the state where there is no mobile network coverage. Worse still, there are villages in the state where electricity is a luxury. Netravali is one such village.

The residents of the far-flung villages say that if the electricity fails, it takes a minimum of eight days to get it back. Generally, an impression is created that Goa has made giant strides in all-round development, be it roads, electricity or water supply.

But to think that in 2020, there are villages in the state whose residents cannot watch TV regularly. Leave alone mobile phones and broadband facility.
