Navy drivers threaten to strike over new recruitment

The Goa Naval Employees' union is upset over new recruitment being done by the Navy.



The drivers have said that they have approached the high court and have threatened to go on strike if their demands are not met.



Around 70 drivers under the aegis of the Goa Naval employees union and affiliated to all Indian defence employees Federation said that the headquarters has already begun looking for staff and have conducted tests.


They have demanded that the previous employees should be given an opportunity first, and only then new employees hired.
