The staff, drivers, conductors, guards and sweepers of Kadamaba Transport Corporation have gone on an indefinite protest at Kadamba Bus stand in Panaji till their demands are met from Monday. They are demanding increase in salary of drivers and conductors as per 7th pay commission and also arrears.

The protest held by KTC employees is also backed by AITUC. 7th Pay commission was bought into the force in 2016 but KTC has not yet implemented it, they allege. And arrears too have not been paid.

Moreover, drivers and conductors working for more than 3 years have not yet been regularised. Watch

In another function, the preservation of nature, forest and wild animals is necessary along with resumption of mining for the flourishing future Goa, AITUC national secretary Dr. Bhalchandra Kango said on Sunday. He was speaking during AITUC  12th annual conference.
