IPB withdraws all CRZ approvals

 An affidavit was filed by the CEO that all approvals were recalled by the Board because it had come to the conclusion that the project proposals in CRZ do not fall under the purview of the IPB due to the restriction under Sec 8 of the Goa Investment Promotion Act 2014.  

IPB approvals withdrawn are M/s Chaksu Properties Pvt, M/s Niraamaya Retreats Venaulim Goa Pvt.Ltd, M/s Total Composites Pvt. Ltd, M/s Aswem Beach Resort and Villas Pvt.Ltd. This was done after a petition was filed in the HC challenging these approvals.

Meanwhile the High Court in its order on 13th March 2018 allowed Goa Foundation and Old Cross Fishing Canoe Owners Co-op Society Ltd to become  a part of the case filed by South West Port Ltd before it.

The court order asked them to file their replies within two weeks from the date of the order and the matter would be taken up on 4th April 2018.

This writ had been filed by SWPL to seek clarification or modification of an order passed by the NGT Delhi restraining authorities from granting CRZ or environment clearances unless the Integrated Coastal Management Plans of all the coastal states have been prepared and approved.
