Inspection of mud dumped by MRF held

The MRF company at Usgao  has plans to expand its factory and hence has been extracting mud from the plot adjacent to its factory. 

Deputy Collector of Ponda Navnath Naik had a hearing over a complaint filed by Usgao locals that MRF company has been dumping mud in a non-designated area.

The locals also opposed the expansion plans of the factory as they allege that the factory is causing air pollution.

The mud extracted from expansion plant site is dumped at a higher than permissible level raising fears of flooding during monsoon, Usgao locals complained. 

Meanwhile, Goa Meat Complex Chairman Satyavijay Naik said the loaded trucks transporting mud from MRF expansion site are trespassing through the property and private road of the Goa Meat Complex.
