Illegalities on beach belt dominates Candolim gram sabha

Issue such as menace of beach sellers, masseurs, beggars and illegal hand carts were raised during gram sabha.

 Villagers have raised concern over the beggars roaming around the beach with infants.

They have demanded with Police department to initiate strict action against these beggars.

Resident of Candolim Damian Tellis said tourists henceforth should not face problems of beggars, masseurs and sellers.If this issue is ignored it would bring bad name to candolim beach.

Another resident Fatima Dias have accused panchayat for giving first preference to outsiders to run handcart business and ignoring locals.
