After a historic rally Goa had witnessed during language agitation in 1986, Panaji witnessed the second biggest rally on Friday to oppose CAA, NRC & NPR. With the support of Church & Muslim organisations, Goans belonging to all the communities came out in a large numbers. They also took an oath not to furnish information for NPR or census, until the CAA, NRC & NPR are withdrawn.

After almost three decades, Dayanand Bandodkar Marg and all roads around Azad Maidan were seen awash with the people who had gathered to oppose CAA, NRC & NPR.

People from all the communities attended the rally with large numbers belonging to minority communities of Goa. Especially the youth. Police vans encircled  Azad Maidan. But the rally was totally peaceful and oblivious of the police.

Speakers from outside Goa were the major attraction. They gave first hand account about the police violence at various universities. The local leaders who spoke included Albertina Almeida, Prakash Kamat, Asif Hussein, Rama Kankonkar and many more.
