The State is completely in the dark of Goan monuments given up for adoption, the government said on Wednesday.

This is part of the Adopt a Heritage project initiated by the Centre in which 6 Goa sites have been listed.

Vijai Sardessai, a member of the Cabinet advisory Committee said that they would hold meeting immediately with government officials and church authorities on the issue.

The union government’s project allows private and public sector corporate to adopt most of Indias tip heritage sites.

Old Goa Churches, Aguada Fort and light house, Morjim Beach, Chapora Fort and Cabo de Rama are set to be adopted by Dristhi Lifesaving Private Ltd.
