North Goa Rent a Cab Owners association don't want outsiders to do cab rental business in Goa.

But the director of transport Nikhil Desai is not in sync with this demand.

He says that as per Indian constitution an Indian can do business in any part of the country. Association members went to the office of Director of Transport and submitted a memorandum on Friday.

The cab owners are upset over Surya travels applying for a rent a cab license. Association president Nitesh Chodankar alleged that the company has applied to conduct this business with the blessings of some politicians.

The association also lashed out at deputy speaker Michael Lobo for supporting outsiders and ignoring Goans.

Director of Transport Nikhil Desai told taxi owners to give representation on legal basis than they would take a proper decision.

But directors feel that granting permission to outsiders is legit all the criteria are fulfilled.
