Frequent landslides at Khandepar, fear grips locals

Despite asking the concerned authorities to build a retaining wall in the area, there is no action on the ground. Are we waiting for worse to happen? 

A hillock of Keriye Khandepar was cut for the purpose of road widening but locals claim it’s not been cut properly and hence landslides occur frequently.

On Sunday, traffic came at a standstill for almost four hours as there was a delay in clearing the road.

No streetlight on the road made the matters even worse.
