Dumped hazardous waste at Cuncolim Industrial area upsets cuncolkars

Two industries Nicomet and Surise Zinc in Cucolim Industrial Estate are now closed. But the garbage accumulated by these two companies have become headache for Cuncolkars. Cuncolkars said government has turned blind eye to this problem and court or NGT should take suo-motto cognizance of the matter.

The garbage is lying there for the last 15 years. The garabage was covered with plastic cover. But this plastic has now gone off. During the rains the streams of dirty waters are flowing from this dump and it later flows into the river.
