Condemns act of security, demands strict action and investigation in fan assault case: Congress

FC Goa fan and his family assault after the match at Fatorda on Thursday has become hot topic of discussion across the state and the world.



On Sunday, the opposition Congress came out and raised their voice over this issue and has demanded proper investigation.

Meanwhile in South the Nuvem Gramsabha also heated over this issue, the Neuvemites too have condemned the act and demanded strict action and investigation into the matter. 

 On Sunday, the Congress in a press briefing in the capital city came out heavy on the assault that took place on Lester and his family after the FC Goa vs Delhi Dynamos match on Thursday.

The Congress has demanded a strict action and also investigation into this matter.

Failing to which the congress has threatened to hold a protest and would also appeal all to goans to boycott the upcoming matches of FC Goa.

Even in Nuvem the gram sabha on Sunday wanted  Goans to boycott the next match if proper investigation and action is not taken.

 On Thursday after the FC Goa vs Delhi Dynamos match, Lester D' Souza from Anjuna, along with his parents Seby and Tina were clicking picture near the fence.

The cops and ISL security approached and demanded they stop and get out. Arguments took place  that escalatef in an assault on Lester and his family.

Lester was brutally bitten up and was admitted tohospital. Parent were arrested but later released on bail. 

The assault and the arrest of a FC Goa fan and his parents has attracted universal condemnation.

The ISL security and had come under scrutiny for their allegedly highhanded ways.

And the casino based ownership of a club by the name FC Goa too has always been the topic of discussion in Goan homes.
