AITUC protests against anti-labour moves of Centre & State

Goa's working class has opposed the move of Modi government to ammend 44 central labour acts into the labour code. The AITUC has alleged that it's a conspiracy to finish the rights and existance of the labour. AITUC led a protest against these anti-labour policies in Panaji on Monday.

AITUC says these amendments would only benefit businessmen and industrialists. The union has also opposed the State government's decision to allow women to work during night shifts.

In a public meeting organized near Shram Shakti Bhavan, AITUC also raised issues of taxi operators, mining workers, and BSNL contract workers.
