TOURISTS BEAT UP LOCAL

A local was beaten up by tourists at Ribander for questioning them on breaking a red light which almost led to them hitting him. This has brought to the fore the increasingly tumultuous relationship between locals and tourists.

Goans depends on tourism. However, there have been clashes between tourists and locals. In an incident today, a local was allegedly hit by a rock after  he chased a tourist vehicle hailing from Maharastra for breaking a red light and nearly hitting him. Upon questioning them, he alleged that they hit him.

The tourist, meanwhile have their own story to tell. They claimed that local sped across the road after his traffic light turned green without looking for any oncoming traffic. He alleged that the local started the fisticuffs first. However, he does not deny breaking the red light. Listen.
