The government decided to hold the CZMP public hearing on 8th July on open grounds However, this is bang in the middle of the monsoons. Also one of the conditions is a time period per speaker of 15 minutes. This had drawn the ire of the NGO. And elicited a response form the environment minister.

The National Green Tribunal had asked that government hold the hearings within a month after NGO Goa Foundation appeal protesting about the way the earlier public hearings were done. Listen to what the environment minister has to say.

Last time when the CZMP was held there was a lot of confusion and protests as there were complaints that many persons were not allowed to enter the the halls leading to a challenge in the NGT.
