Surla- kars want all village bars shut

Villagers of Surla-Thane want the bars in the village closed.



They are not willing to tolerate the nuisance caused by people who come down to village from across the border just for a drink.

The Thane-Surla panchayat has decided to take a resolution to revoke the NOC given to the bar and restaurant owners.

The Surla-Thane villagers say these visitors misbehave with the local girls after they drink and when questioned they threaten the villagers.

They should be around 7-8 bars in these village that has around 70-80 houses. 

Residents of Surla village in Sattari submitted a memorandum to North Goa Collector Levinson Martins asking him to close the bar and restaurants in the Surla village permanently.
