STREET LIGHTS NOT WORKING

Non working streetlights are seen in many parts of the state. The government spends crores on various projects in the name of development. But maintenance is an issue in almost all such projects. An example of non working streets are those in the Koparwado Ponda area.

 Locals from the area have to travel in dark due to this. They allege that many accidents have occurred due to the dark roads. An accident took place between a truck and scooter even last night. Local panch Harish Naik hope that at least now the street light problem would be solved.

Locals want street lights to be provided at certain distances in the area. However, they allege that despite requests being done the concerned government departments have ignored them. Ironically there is confusion on payments for these streetlights. Listen.
