Several residents in the areas of Orulem, Mestawada, Driver Hill and Mangor have been facing acute water shortages. Several residents along with the social activists and Councillors on Monday came to the PWD office in Baina. But there were no officers present to address their issues. Angry residents have threatened to agitate if the issues are not resolved.

Locals said that despite payment of bills on time, there was issue of water supply for the last many years. Though there was a shortage of water, the PWD had increased the charges of the bill and hence despite water shortage, residents had received exorbitant bills amidst the pandemic. One of the local also said that every time residents made a noise, the water supply would become normal. Watch their arguments.
