POWER REBATE CASE

The District and Sessions Court has fixed the matter of Mauvin Godinho for reply. Mauvin’s counsel has asked court to direct the Public Prosecutor to place on record the police diary and other relevant documents of the Power rebate scam case. The Public prosecutor will file reply on Saturday.

The last hearing on this case took place on 23^rd June. The court is hearing Mauvin’s petition to dismiss the re investigation order in the case. His counsel had demanded that the proceedings in the case be stopped stating that a district magistrate has no power to order a re-investigation and that the power to do so lay with the courts only.
