Goan Taxi’kars to get free entry into the Airport, for time being.

This was decided after a meeting with South Goa Collector and other authorities.

This was a result of the chaos at the Airport terminal on Saturday as the All Goa Taxi union were adamant that they wanted a waiver on the entry toll fees.

On Saturday Afternoon, there was chaos over the Entry Toll Fee for the visitors as well as the taxi operators coming to the Airport.

Members of All Goa Taxi Union held a protest at the Airport terminal over this issue.

They were backed up by Congress MLA Alex Reginaldo Lourenco.

The issue didn’t stop there. It continued to the South Goa Collectors office.

Members of the Taxi Union along with Congress MLA Reginaldo Lourenco met the South Goa Collector and other officials to discuss this issue. During the meeting, it was decided that for time being the Entry Toll Fee at the Goa Dabolim Airport will be stopped.

But Taxi Union and Airport authorities will have a meet on Monday to discuss this issue further.
