Movement of heavy vehicles restricted in Sancoale

The meeting between the builders and the residents of MES College area on Thursday decided that for transporting building materials in heavy vehicles builders would not use the internal MES College road during the daytime.

They would only use this road between 11 in the night and 5 in the morning. 

However, an exception was made to allow concrete mixture vehicles between 2 to 4 in the evening. 

The decision was taken at the meeting called by Mormugao, Deputy Collector, Mahadev Araundekar.

The meeting was attended by all stakeholders including residents.

The heavy vehicles are being used to transport building materials for multi-dwelling projects behind MES College at Zuarinagar.

However, there was a dissenting voice. The Sancoale deputy sarpanch was not happy with the decision taken.
