06 Dec 2019 05:40 PM

Christmas day is the deadline by the Mahdei Bachao Andolan to the government to clear its stand on withdrawal of the Centre's letter to Karnataka on water distribution. The letter states that there is no need for an environment clearance for the Kalsa Badura project as it was about drinking water.

Subash Velingkar, the former RSS chief and an integral part of this organisation said that they would be having a huge meeting on 12 of January, Vivekananda Jayanti. The andolan's workers' would also be meeting MLAs as well as grass root elected representatives asking them to make their stand clear on whether they are supporting this agitation or no.

The Andolan attacked the government saying that it has proved to be no very competent and in case it does not buck up, then their electoral prospects would be affected. And its workers would resort to any means to fulfill their demands as it was a matter of life and death.
