It’s proved. Mining pits making Opa water muddy!

WRD kept on saying that water of Opa has become muddy due to rains. But social activist proved with evidence his allegation that it has become muddy due to slurry from mining pits. And Ponda is getting this muddy water in their taps for the last four days. They want WRD officials and Goa Pollution Control Board toinspect the entire river basin as well as the mining pits located along the bank of Opa river.

 Goa365 had highlighted this story where government had claimed that it’s rain water.

But social activist Sandeep Parkar took Goa365 around the area and showed with evidence how the slur of mining pits was left in Opa river at night. Watch it.
