Is CCP ready for monsoon? Church sq. food stalls shifted

16 May 2018 05:41 PM

Following the complaint by Panaji Hotel & Traders Association, Corporation of City of Panaji has decided to shift food stalls from Panaji Church Square barring only few food stalls.

Earlier, the members of the association had questioned the validity of the licence of these food stalls and also questioned the CCP on FDA guidelines.

CCP shifted these gaddas on Monday in the hawker’s zone that has been created near Don Bosco High School Panaji.

When asked about preparedness for the monsoon, Mayor Vitthal Chopdekar told Goa 365 that pre-monsoon works in the city are underway and will be completed soon.

He assured that the steps are being taken to curb water clogging and garbage around the city is being cleaned.
