GSL claims it has permission for piling work; MMC says ‘no’

Goa Shipyard Limited has said that they have been granted permission by the Mormugao Municipal Council to do piling work at the construction site.
But, surprisingly, the municipal chief officer has denied that he has given any permissions.
Residents of Vaddem in Vasco had complained to Vasco Police and Mormugao Municipal Council that the piling work being carried at Goa Shipyard construction site has caused damage to the residential buildings in the vicinity.
