First HPC meet in 2 years: Will Sonsodo garbage issue finally see an end?

The plant will come up within the next year as part of the first phase. The CM was speaking after chairing the High Powered Committee (HPC) meeting on Solid Waste Management at Sonsodo

This is the first meeting of the HPC after nearly a two year gap. A point which was not missed by Fatorda’s MLA VijaiSardesai.Sardesai and Curtorim MLA ReginaldoLourenco had put forward several issues with the Sonsodo Waste treatment plant. Of which, setting up of the 15 metric TPD plant and regular HPC meets were top requests.

In addition to this, Sawant also informed that all the conditions put forth by the High Court would be completed by the Margao Municipality by June 30^th.
