Curti locals angry over truck parking on highway, Demands action

Curti locals from Ponda have raised serious concern over the long queue of trucks parked on both the sides of the four-lane National Highway at Curti Ponda. The villagers have demanded the authorities stop such parking along the roadside.

The Villagers said that the stretch of National Highway at Curti Ponda is accident prone and that parking of heavy trucks on the road would multiply the chances of accidents there.The trucks parked on both sides of the highway obstruct the view of the drivers, as such, it may lead to accidents.

After the inauguration of the highway, the locals were hoping for smooth and safe journey. However, truck parking on highway has dashed their hopes.
