After Pernem, taps run dry in Vasco’s New Vaddem || ENGLISH || GOA365

While the government takes pride in its 100% Har Ghar Jal, several parts of the state struggle as taps fail to see any jal. Vasco’s New Vaddem area is yet another part of the state struggling for water.

 While officials paid an inspection visit, locals have warned of protests if the issue isnt solved soon.

Following an inspection of the area, PWD officials assured locals that the issue would be resolved as soon as possible.

PWD officials stated that water from the Salaulim water treatment plant is erratic which is the main reason for the water shortage. Furious locals, however, warned the officials that they would hit the streets should water not be restored at the earliest.
