Which cargo? From where? Reginald asks Suresh Prabhu on Mopa

Curtorim MLA has asked whether he intends to export Alfonso mango from Konkan by fooling Goans.

He calls the new airport a big scam which will not be financially viable.

Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu, during his recent Goa visit, had said that he is in the process of framing a policy to make Mopa airport a cargo hub for southern India to export perishable goods like fruits and vegetables.

He had also said this would generate revenue as well as employment.

Congress MLA Reginald Lourenco has asked how Goans would get employment when the state does not grow or produce anything that could be exported.
