There are plenty of parking spaces all over Goa. The entire stretch of Dayanand Bandodkar Marg is beautified by flowering plants, which if removed can accommodate parking slots along the entire stretch from Miramar circle to the Old Secretariat. Moreover, the parking within the city is haphazard with no marked slots. Once slots are finalized, anyone found parking beyond the marked slots can be penalized. However, due to open gutters and drains, motorists find it difficult to park properly. Pay parking with meters should be introduced. Metered and radio cabs will definitely reduce the traffic congestion with car owners preferring to call a cab rather than drive their own cars and burn fuel/money looking for parking!
