Navelcars find western bypass design faulty, want work stopped

Navelim gram sabha held on Sunday confirmed that it wants the stop work order on the stilts constructed as part of the western bypass enforced.
The gram sabha confirmed the proceedings of the last meeting on western bypass to stop work.
The stilts constructed for the bypass are allegedly touching the Navelim to Sinqetim road.
The gram sabha also passed the budget for 2019-20. The western bypass passing through Naveli is a bone of contention between the village panchayat and the government.
Navelcars found flaws in the construction of the stilts. The gram sabha passed a resolution asking the sarpanch to follow up on the stop work order to the contractor.
