Marina issue in CM’s court; will he postpone public hearing?

Goenkar Against Marina have thrown a ball in the court of chief minister. Dr Pramod Sawant has assured the protestors to convey the government decision to them whether to go ahead with the public hearing on 2nd November or not. They don’t want to discuss the project before Coastal Zone Management Plan is in place.

Opposition to the marina project proposed at Nauxi is increasing day by day. When the villagers met CM Pramod Sawant on Tuesday, they were led by three MLAs – Alina Saldanha from Cortalim, Tony Fernandes from St Cruz and Alex Reginald Lourenco from Curtorim. Also former BJP candidate of St Andre Ramarao Wagh and late Vishnu Wagh’s wife Aruna.
