A man from Bicholim has fallen victim to pickpockets that have been terrorizing locals in the area. The crime which occurred inside a restaurant was caught on CCTV. The thieves were seen approaching the man while he had gotten up to pay his food bill.
The excise department seized two trucks smuggling liquor worth Rs40 lakhs at the Patradevi Check post on Wednesday. These trucks were caught in two separate incidents at the check post. One of the drivers has been arrested and further investigations are on.
