PRES KOVIND ARRIVES IN GOA ON 2 DAY VISIT

President, Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Goa on a 2 day visit today. He was received by Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai, CM Pramod Sawant, MoS for Tourism Shripad Naik and others at INS Hansa airport.

President Kovind is to lay the foundation Stone for New Raj Bhavan (annexe) at Dona Paula on June 15.

 President Ram Nath Kovind's term ends on July 24. Elections will be held on July 18 for the next President of India and counting three days later. Ironically this time, ruling coalition led by BJP does not have the numbers for a sure-shot victory. In 2017,

the BJP- NDA had the support of the TRS, YSR Congress and BJD. President Kovind had beaten Congress-led opposition's candidate Meira Kumar. This time. Total strength of the electoral college, thus, is 10,86,431.
